Capabilities

Large Scale Fabrication

We perform some of the most complex fabrications in the industry. With more than 185+ AWS-certified welders, we’re able to transform a piece of metal into a piece of art.

We meet and exceed AWS, NAVSEA and Ballistic Armor Weld specifications.

In addition to our 185+ AWS-certified welders, we also use many robotic weld cells that allow us to be more efficient on production volume projects. We perform these processes on a wide variety of materials, from mild steel to exotic metals.

Every one of our multifunctional fabrication stations is outfitted with its own crane, enabling us to rotate and lift up to 30,000 pounds.

Our facilities house overhead cranes that can lift up to 125 tons. We also have 60-ton lift and rotate devices that allow us to weld in more ergonomic positions. And thanks to our 350-ton transporter, we are able to move large fabricated structures directly to our deep water port for transport.

Our work speaks for itself. In fact, our fixtures are so precise that machining often isn’t necessary.

What We Do

Our expertise includes cutting, coping, notching, beveling, and etching for projects in virtually any material. Using advanced CNC programming, we can cut through steel up to 12 inches thick and handle up to 2,500 linear feet of 1/2-inch carbon steel in a single day. With three-torch capabilities, we deliver five-axis bevel-headed cuts, straight cuts, and precise high-definition edging with exceptional accuracy.

Technologies

  • Waterjet Cutting
  • TRUMPF TruLaser 3060 8kW Fiber (20’ x 8’ Bed)
  • PythonX Structural Beam Line Cutting Machine (50’L Material Capacity)
  • Two 4kW Tanaka Lasers (80′ x 12′ and 100′ x 12′ Beds)
  • Messer High-Def Plasma Cutting & ALFA Oxyfuel Cutting (400-AMP, 100’ x 16’ Bed)

Our hot wire GTAW cladding services provide a highly versatile weld overlay for those applications that require corrosion-resistant properties. Our high deposition rate — 16 pounds per hour in flat position, three pounds per hour in horizontal — gives us the ability to complete projects with greater efficiency, without sacrificing quality.

Having stress relief performed on-site helps shorten lead time and increase efficiencies while improving the stability of your components. Our thermal processes include heating parts up to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit for parts up to 30,000 pounds to achieve stability, reduce hardness and improve machinability; while our vibratory process can quickly stress relieve stainless steel and other alloys without altering the molecular makeup.

We have six Collaborative Welding Robots (Cobots) that perform all the same welding processes and capabilities, but in a smaller footprint than a conventional robot. We use advanced programming techniques and functions to place the weld in the joint, such as Touch Sensing, Thru-Arc Seam Tracking (TAST), and Multi-Pass offsets to accurately and repeatedly perform critical welds.

We also use conventional Industrial Welding Robots to perform welding along with Extended and Auxiliary axes to position parts in an ideal position for welding as well as increase the usable footprint of the robot.

Our 110” cube New Generation Electron Beam Welding System can handle the job when your application requires deep penetration and low distortion performed to precise specifications.

This system can accommodate small to large parts that specifically require EB welding. The CNC-controlled unit can weld dissimilar metals that require deep penetration into the material to create high-purity welds with minimal distortion. The result is a clean, precise weld, every time.

With one of the largest high-tonnage press brakes, we can tackle large-scale projects with up to 4,400 tons of force, delivering the precision and strength needed for heavy-duty applications. For smaller-scale jobs, our 250-ton press brakes are used to expertly bend metal up to ten feet in length, ensuring accuracy and flexibility across a wide range of projects.

We’re able to roll metal into various sizes and profiles, enabling the production of durable, high-performance components. Whether for large infrastructure projects, complex machinery, or specialty applications, we’re able to deliver customized solutions that meet exact specifications. Through advanced rolling techniques, we can create beams, plates, angles, and more with unparalleled consistency, ensuring strength, reliability, and flexibility for the most demanding environments.

Weld Specifications

We maintain an extensive database of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs) qualified to current AWS, ASME, and NAVSEA codes. Our in-house welding program, staffed with Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) across all shifts, allows us to qualify weld procedures as needed.

As an AWS corporate member, our Welding Engineers and CWIs have full access to the latest codes, ensuring top-quality welded fabrications. We meticulously document both welding procedures and welder qualifications, storing them in a centralized database that meets all welding requirements.

Our team includes over 185 AWS Certified Welders, with many qualified under the GCVWC. To guarantee defect-free welds, we perform multiple CWI inspections throughout the welding process, including at every re-positioning of the weldment. Our current and routinely used WPSs and PQRs for aluminum and steel armor welding are developed to the highest standards and have been rigorously tested in previous DoD contracts.
