KEEL was awarded a $16.4 million contract to fabricate a 360-foot floating pier, a 160-foot gangway, an 80-foot trestle, and a buoyancy box for Manson. The structures are being fabricated at our facilities in Yonges Island and Ladson, South Carolina. COWI (North America) and Weldment Design, LLC are serving as the project’s Designer and Engineer of Record.

Matt LaRue, Manson’s Project Manager, praised the project’s progress: “The Pier Romeo Replacement Project is off to a great start thanks to the entire Design-Build Team.”

Our CEO, Brian Carter, added, “Our large-scale capabilities and waterfront access give us a unique advantage in fabricating large steel modules.”

We plan to deliver the assemblies by October 2025, with project completion expected in Q2 of 2026.
